Sharman to host poker game show

Mumbai: Actor Sharman Joshi's last big release Sorry Bhai might have been a no show at the box office, but his popularity surely hasn't taken a beating. Sharman will now make his television debut as a host on poker - a game show on the soon to be launched entertainment channel REAL.

"When it comes to my film personality there are some witty lines involved. There is some emotional connect as an actor that the show is hoping to establish. So you'll see a lot of me, the person that I am more than the actor that I am," said Sharman.

"Because I play characters in films, you don't see the person that I am. But in this game show during the interactions rounds you will see me interacting with the audience and the participants. So that is very different," he added.

Though television may be good pocket money, films continue to be Sharman's bread and butter. Though the actor's lips are sealed when asked about

Rajkumar Hirani's Aamir - Kareena starer 3 Idiots which is currently under production, he offered to talk about his next release featuring Naseeruddin Shah.

"Allah Ke Bande deals with human drama. Debutante director Farooq Kabir is helming the affairs. Ravi Walia is the producer of the film, the cast compromises of Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni, Anjana Sukhani and myself," said Sharman.

"It's a story of two boys from the slum and it's their life story. We have finished the shooting, it's in post production right now and hopefully we should have a release this year some time," he added.

Though Sharman lost out on being a part of the successful Golmaal Returns last year, he'll be hoping to make up for that with his venture into television this year.
