New Delhi: The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a charge sheet in RTI activist Shehla Masood's murder case. The investigative agency charged the prime accused in the case Zahida Pervez under section 120(B) for conspiracy of murder.
MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh has not been charged yet.
CBI had arrested Zahida after scrutinising call details generated from the tower located in the Koh-e-Fiza area where Shehla was shot dead in front of her house on August 16 last year.
It was alleged that Zahida ordered the killing of Shehla as she was jealous of her purported closeness with BJP MLA, Dhruv Narayan Singh.
CBI had questioned Dhruv and also called him for conducting his polygraph test.
According to CBI, Zahida had allegedly hired contract killers to eliminate Shehla and had also maintained a diary of events that took place after her sensational murder.
