Bhopal: A month after RTI activist Shehla Masood was murdered outside her house in Bhopal, CNN-IBN has accessed a letter she wrote to the CVC. The letter alleges misuse of state funds to the tune of crores of rupees by top state officials including the Chief Minister.

Shehla's letter named BJP leader LK Advani as having been entertained at the expense of the tax payer.

Giving details of Advanis's pachamarhi visit Shehla wrote in her letter that the Hospitality Department footed his boarding and lodging bill. More than Rs five lakh of public money was spent on Advani's private visit which according to rules is illegal.

The letter, dated August 1, uses information she gathered through the Right to Information. In it she raised several questions over spending by the state hospitality department, and why it hosted several high court judges on private trips.

She also questioned several dinners and lunches hosted by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. All this spending cost several crores of rupees. The new information could provide a boost to the investigation by the Central Bureau of India (CBI).

Rajil, Shehl'as Brother, said "Yes its been a month since she was killed. We are waiting for justice. We don't have any other option but to wait."

The CBI on Friday announced a Rs five reward for any information leading to the killers of RTI activist Shehla Masood.

This information apart, there has been no visible forward movement in the case. For her family which is looking desperately for justice, there could be no other option but to wait.
