Mumbai: Elizabeth the Golden Age, a film that comes with great expectations as it is a sequel to a film that caught all the limelight at the time of it's release – Elizabeth.
The film premiered in India on Wednesday night and the first one to walk the red carpet was the director himself who was a little curious and anxious.
I am always anxious. I am the filmmaker so I have to be anxious. It is a film not so much for an Indian audience, but with a western appeal, but who cares. I don't,” said Shekhar Kapur.
Now one person who does care is Shekhar Kapur's ex-wife Suchitra Krishnamurthy who walked in with him.
“For Shekhar’s sake I do hope that the audience flock the theatre and the film does really well,” said actress and singer, Suchitra Krishanmurthy.
Even Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London, couldn't help getting curious about what Shekhar has to say about the Queen. So he too graced the event with his presence.
“I have seen the last film Elizabeth and I am really looking forward to this one,” said Livingstone.
With the curious audience at premiere, seems like Shekhar has managed to hit the nail once again.
