New Delhi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Soren who infamously saved the PV Narasimha Rao government in 1993 has been called upon to do the same once again.
Sources say a deal has been clinched with the United Progressive Alliance Government and it could be two ministerial berths including one of Cabinet rank for his party.
Soren spoke to CNN-IBN's Sumit Pande on the political uncertainty and the trust vote.
CNN-IBN: Have the NDA or the UPA made any offers to you?
Shibu Soren: Everyone has a stake in Jharkhand. Obviously each party is interested in itself.
CNN-IBN: NDA can make you the CM of Jharkhand. UPA can offer you a Cabinet berth. Which is the better option for you?
Shibu Soren: My party and I are still deciding.
CNN-IBN: There are rumours of a divide between the five JMM MPs. Will you all vote differently?
Shibu Soren: Ask the five JMM MPs. But we will be united. The party is greater than the individuals.
CNN-IBN: Will you be meeting the UPA Chairperson or the Prime Minister?
Shibu Soren: We are deciding on that as well.
