MLC Basavaraj Horatti suggested that the BJP government shift some departments that are necessary to develop North and Hyderabad-Karnataka region, to Suvarna Soudha.
He stressed on the need to shift departments like Water Resources, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Education and corporations like Karnataka Handloom Development Corporation.
“If such departments and corporations are shifted, development of the region will be sped up automatically,’ he told reporters here on Sunday.
He also pointed that if the new building gets restricted for holding only session, then the purpose will not be solved. He also said that if the BJP government rejects the suggestion, he will do it whenthe JD(S) comes to power.
Meanwhile, he condemned CM Shettar’s visit to Belgaum on Sunday. “When the state is burning with Cauvery issue, he should have visited riot affected areas or New Delhi to discuss with legal experts,” he added.
