Actress Shilpa Shetty will soon be all over the place – from hosting the second season of Bigg Boss on the small screen to becoming a producer for the big screen. The actress will also be performing in the London and Germany shows of The Unforgettable Tour. CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani got the actress talking about all this and more.
CNN-IBN: From winning Celebrity Big Brother to hosting Bigg Boss, Shilpa Shetty has come a long way in television. Do you agree with that?
Shilpa Shetty: Well, I am looking at it from the perspective of an actress. And we actors are very greedy, we are always waiting to pounce upon a new role. And yes, this one is going to be an interesting experience.
CNN-IBN: You know the format, you have been through the grind. So what are the few things that you will make sure you do as a host?
Shilpa Shetty: Since I have been there and done that I will be able to relate with the housemates in a more empathetic way. I will be able to imagine what they will go through at that point in time.
CNN-IBN: Any tips for the contestants.
Shilpa Shetty: Just be yourself. There is nothing else that will work for you than being oneself.
CNN-IBN: You are also getting into productions. There is a buzz that Akshay will be a part of it.
Shilpa Shetty: No, there is nothing decided as yet. I would just like to request to the media to hold on to their horses because sometimes it can get us into trouble as makers because then there is a perception and an expectation from the audience. People start wondering that we are making such and such film with so and so title when that is not the case.
CNN-IBN: You are also off for the London leg of The Unforgettable Tour. So you continue to be in news in London.
Shilpa Shetty: Yes, that is going to be an interesting tour. I might be doing one more show with them in Germany. I am looking forward to it but I don't know how I am going to manage it. So it is going to be quite a bit of multi-tasking.
CNN-IBN: Best of luck for everything.
Shilpa Shetty: Thank you so much.
