Click to play videoMumbai: After grabbing the headlines with her success in Big Brother, Shilpa Shetty is all set to continue her fairy tale journey with her first stage musical Miss Bollywood.
Miss Bollywood is the name of a musical featuring the actor in the lead, which will premiere on September 29 in Berlin, Germany.
The musical will feature a medley of some all-time favorite Bollywood numbers. And Shilpa wants to make sure that the world tunes in to Bollywood's staple song and dance routine.
“We are not only going to entertain the world through this musical but tell them what Bollywood films, the heroes and the heroines are actually about,” says Shilpa.
Miss Bollywood has been choreographed by Ganesh Hegde and features VJ Anusha Dandekar as well.
Though Shilpa has always enjoyed dancing, this will be her first stage musical to date.
“The story is about a girl, Maya, who is dancer based in east London and is crazy about Bollywood films. The story is also about her struggle to make it big. The story has a message of how culturally diverse people get together and how because of Bollywood she becomes successful abroad,” says Shilpa.
After touring Germany the musical is all set to be staged in the US and Australia as well.
Considering the fact that Shilpa's journey to international fame actually started in London, it is quite surprising that the UK is not part of the itinerary.
