Click to play videoNew Delhi: Actress Shilpa Shetty, appearing on the UK television show Big Brother, has survived elimination on Wednesday night, inspite of spending most of her time in the Big Brother house in tears.
Jackiey Budde, (mother of Jade Goodie) and Shilpa did not get along too well initially, and on Wednesday night Jackiey was the first conventional person to be evicted.
The sexy actress confessed to finding 60-year-old plus, ex A-Team actor, Dirk Benedict “sexy" after a conversation with housemate Cleo Rocos.
But when Cleo questioned Shilpa on her interest in Dirk, she replied saying he was "sexy and old."
Shilpa admitted that she had "zero expectations," from her appearance on the show, and that her only aim was to "keep my self-respect and my dignity," the actress was quoted as saying on the Channel 4 Celebrity Big Brother website.
Shilpa is favourite to win the show at 5-1. The star is reportedly being paid Rs 3 crore as the only Bollywood participant to appear on the reality show.
She was apparently brought in along with the other celebrities to "sex up the Channel 4 show". The series featuring Shilpa is likely to be the steamiest of them all.
Incidentally, India has it’s own version of Big Brother, the currently running show Bigg Boss that plays on Sony television every night.
Bigg Boss is produced by Endemol, the company that produces Big Brother internationally.
