New Delhi: From sexy dance sequences to political theorising, actress Shilpa Shetty seems to have come a long way post-Celebrity Big Brother.

Shilpa on Monday will be a star attraction at the Commonwealth Day celebrations in London where Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Minister Tony Blair and representatives of more than 50 Commonwealth nations are expected to participate.

Shilpa, winner of British reality show Celebrity Big Brother will give a "personal testimony" about her experience of coping with ethnic differences. The actress will also give a talk on India’s diversity.

More than 2,000 people are set to attend the multi-faith service, including the Commonwealth's Secretary-General, foreign dignitaries and about 1,000 young people from the UK.

The ceremony is an annual event to mark Commonwealth Day, which is always celebrated on the second Monday in March.

A pre-recorded message by the Queen will be broadcast to the congregation and all over the Commonwealth. In the message, she is expected to emphasise the need for people to respect and understand each other better.

The Queen will call on the Commonwealth to "find our diversity a cause for celebration and a source of strength and unity."
