Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja's run in with the law has shocked everyone - none more than director Mahesh Bhatt who he has worked twice with.
CNN-IBN Correspondent Somen Mishra talked to the director on the reactions of the whole incident.
Somen Mishra: Sir, what was your first reaction, were you shocked when you came to know about the news?
Mahesh Bhatt: My reaction was shame. Deep shame, because the crime that he is accused of is of rape, and that too rape of a helpless, 18-year-old domestic help. And if it is backed by the medical reports and also by the confession that he has given then he is headed for a big, big trouble. But if it is found that if indeed he has committed a heinous crime like this, then we must express our outrage.
Somen Mishra:How have been your interactions been with him on personal basis?
Mahesh Bhatt: Shiney was a charming man, very very well-behaved person, we all have our idiosyncrasies, we all have our mood swings. I spoke to him just day before Sunday, and he appeared very sane.
