CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Traffic was been brought to a standstill in parts of Mumbai due to the massive Shiv Sena rally in the city on Thursday.

Hundreds of vehicles were stuck on the SV road from Dadar to Mahim, where scores of Sena workers had taken to the streets protesting the scrapping of the state's Urban Land Ceiling Act.

Led by Shiv Sena executive President Uddhav Thackery, they were marching towards suburban Bandra, where the party leaders will be addressing the rally outside the Bandra Collector's office.

The Shiv Sena was protesting saying that the state's decision to cancel the Act is against the interests of the middle class and lower middle class society.
