Shoaib faces lawsuit before Sania marriage

Hyderabad: Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is all set to marry Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, but Shoaib's past seems to be catching up with him.

Father of Ayesha Siddiqui, who claimed to be married to Shoaib Malik, has threatened to sue him. Ahmed Siddiqui wants Shoaib to divorce his daughter before marrying Sania.

Ahmed had earlier alleged that the former Pakistan captain married his daughter, and that Ayesha wanted a divorce. Shoaib had then denied they were ever married.

The two had reportedly developed a friendship on the internet in 2002 and Siddiqui's father had even threatened to take Malik to court earlier.

The dashing cricketer was also linked with Indian actress Sayali Bhagat, and there were reports of the two meeting confidentially in 2008.

Malik, who has been banned from representing Pakistan for a year due to infighting within the team during a disastrous tour of Australia this year, said he supported Mirza playing on the WTA Tour and for India at the Olympics.
