Earlier, the returning officer denied permission for a rally in Haridwar and asked Team Anna to organise their event in a hall.
Reacting on not getting permission to hold a rally in Haridwar, Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal said, "In Haridwar, the returning officer has denied permission for a rally last night (Thursday). She's given permission in some hall. We will use that but it raises question marks on the fairness of the returning officer."
On Friday Team Anna released a campaign pamphlet for the upcoming assembly polls, in which it attacked the Congress accusing it of betraying the country on the Lokpal issue even as the activists claimed that they would not seek votes for or against any single party.
This is not the first time that Team Anna was attacked. In October last year, senior lawyer and Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan was beaten up by three people inside his chamber in the Supreme Court, because of his comments on the removal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the Kashmir Valley.
In the same month, an attempt to assault Arvind Kejriwal at a public meeting was made in Lucknow.
