Shootout in Noida: Cops gun down extortionist

New Delhi: An alleged extortionist was killed while three of his associates fled during an encounter on Monday night when they where trying to get money from officers of a company in Noida Phase-2.

The four extortionists had gone to the offices of Moserbaer and Samsung companies to collect money from the officials of the company late in the evening.

Earlier, they had been threatening the officials for extortion, police said. The officials had informed the police about the call made by the assailants.

Police then traced the call and identified them as they came to collect the money.

Police tried too nab them leading to cross firing in which an assailant was killed. Three others fled the spot and police are on the look out for them.
