HYDERABAD: As the noose is being tightened around the neck of YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Pradesh Congress Committee has started taking disciplinary measures against its leaders who are issuing statements openly in support of Jagan.
Ex-minister T Jeevan Reddy has become the first among such leaders to receive the notice.
The PCC Screening and Enquiry Committee headed by former minister Kantheti Satyanarayana Raju, which met here on Thursday, served a show-cause notice on Jeevan Reddy for his reported criticism of chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, asking him to appear before it in person in Hyderabad on May 24.
The committee also sought Reddy’s explanation on his reported controversial statements on the state government and the chief minister. The committee has taken a serious note of the statements made by Jeevan in praise of the YSRCP chief.
