New Delhi: London Olympics quarterfinalist Parupalli Kashyap jumped three places in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) men's singles rankings to be placed at 20. The 26-year-old Kashyap, who lost in the second round of Hong Kong Open Super Series on Thursday, is currently a notch lower than his best world ranking of 19.
However, Mumbai's Ajay Jayaram, who hasn't had a great run in the Super Series calendar this year, dropped a further five places to be placed at 32.
India Open Grand Prix Gold finalist Sourabh Verma of Madhya Pradesh also dropped two places and is currently placed at 35.

In women's singles, Olympics bronze medallist Saina Nehwal still retains her third place in the world and has a possibility of ending the year as World No. 2.
