Mumbai: Though his last film Lady in the Water turned out to be a disaster and was butchered both at the box office and by the critics, filmmaker Manoj Night Shyamlan has managed to find someone to pump in money for his next project.
Fox studios along with Indian production house UTV will be producing his film titled The Happening.
“I really want to become more involved with India both in a philanthropic way as well as career wise,” says Shymalan.
The filmmaker prefers to stick to a genre that he is best at and like most of his films, The Happening will also be a supernatural thriller.
The budget of the venture is expected to be around $57 million.
The Happening goes on floors in August 2007 and is expected to be released worldwide by 2008.
