Sidharth Malhotra to star in Ekta Kapoor's next 'The Villain'

New Delhi: After Varun Dhawan, Ekta Kapoor has signed on the second 'Student Of The Year' actor Sidharth Malhotra to play the lead in her new film 'The Villain'. The onscreen lover boy will showcase his dark side in the new project.

"Proud to share another film of ours being launched. Sidharth Malhotra starrer, Mohit Suri director... 'The Villain'," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, tweeted Saturday.

Sidharth, a former model, shared his excitement about the new project.

The onscreen lover boy will showcase his dark side in the new project.

"Really excited about my new project with Balaji... Will be fun walking the dark side," Sidharth tweeted.

After making a successful debut with Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year', the actor has been also been roped in to star in 'Hansee Toh Phansi', another Dharma Productions film.

Sidharth's 'Student Of The Year' co-star Varun is also doing a Balaji film, a remake of Telugu film 'Kandireega'. It will be directed by Varun's father David Dhawan.
