Mumbai: Model Simran Sood, who was held in connection with the murder case of aspiring producer Karan Kakkar, was on Friday arrested for her suspected role in the murder case of Delhi-based businessman Arunkumar Tikku as well, police said. Sood was produced in the court as her custody in the Kakkar case ended on Friday and the magistrate remanded her to judicial custody. However, she was soon arrested in the Tikku murder case.
Simran Sood is the wife of gangster Vijay Palande, but he had introduced her to many people as his sister. Police further said that they will now find the exact role of Sood in the murder of Tikku adding that they were not ruling out any further arrest in the case. The crime branch officials also revealed that Kakkar ran a prostitution racket in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Palande, who was initially arrested for the murder of Delhi-based businessman Arun Kumar Tikku, was today remanded to police custody till May 10 in connection with the Kakkar murder case. Palande's two accomplices - Manoj Gajkosh and Dhanjay Shinde - were also sent to the police custody till May 10.

After Karan Kakkar\'s case, the model was arrested for her suspected role in the murder of Arunkumar Tikku as well.
Palande, who wanted to usurp Tikku's property in Mumbai, was arrested on April 10 for the murder of the 67-year-old businessman on April 7. On the same day, he escaped from police custody before being re-arrested hours later.
According to the police, Palande, during interrogation in the Tikku murder case, confessed that he killed Kakkar last month and dumped his body on the outskirts of Mumbai. Police later recovered decomposed body parts of Kakkar from forests at Kumbharli Ghat in Chiplun near Mumbai.
