With the rains continuing to cause havoc in Vadodara, Lalita just doesn’t want to take any chances - she tied rakhi to her brother a day in advance on Tuesday.
But now she’s stranded and has to wait for the waters to recede before she can make her way back home.
"I had come to tie my brother rakhi and now I’m heading back home. Bit there’s water everywhere, I wonder in what condition my house and family members will be," says a worried Lalita.
It's the same story in the villages around Vadodara, despite last year's deluge, the local administration was yet again caught sleeping.
