New Delhi: IT major Wipro clarified on Tuesday that its campus recruits who are mostly engineers, will have to join its BPO operations at Kolkata and not the engineering division.

It said the new recruits will be with the BPO division for a period of 12 to 18 months after which they can be moved to other divisions of Wipro Technologies.

Wipro also said that if students decline the offer or do not respond, it will be deemed as a rejection of the employment offer with Wipro.

It defended the offer and said new recruits have much to benefit.
