Chennai: Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh won their quarter-final match at the ATP Chennai Open to move into the semi-final.
The Indian duo defeated Russian-Dutch combine of Jeff Coetzee and Rogler Wassen in straights sets 6-2, 6-3 in about an hour on Thursday night in Chennai.
Another Indian pair Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna are also on course at Chennai. The two got the better of American pair of James Cerratani and Travis Rettenmaier in straight sets to move into second round.
Bhupathi and Bopanna entered the last eight winning the match 6-3, 7-6.
However, another Indian Yuki Bhambhri partnering former world No.1 Spaniard Carlos Moya crashed out of the doubles draw in the quarter-finals.
The pair lost in straight sets to Spain's Marcel Granollers and Santiago Ventura 5-7, 1-6.
