Son behind Delhi's triple murder case

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Delhi Police seems to have achieved a break through in the triple murder case. Three people were found murdered in their West Delhi flat on Friday.

Police have now arrested Nitin Verma, the son of the family on charges of murder.

Nitin had allegedly stabbed his father, mother and wife after they objected to his extra marital relationship.

It was Nitin who had alerted neighbours of the crime on Saturday. He told them that he had met with an accident and couldn't reach his family over the phone.

However, Police found that the wounds on Nitin's body were not from an accident.

They think he got wounds from holding a sharp edged weapon possibly the one which was used for murdering the family.

Vinod Verma, 55-year-old, his wife Puspa and their daughter-in-law were reportedly stabbed to death at their residence in Palam Vihar.

The murder came to light when their son Nitin tried to call them up.
