Mumbai: Actor Saif Ali Khan, who was hospitalised on Sunday evening just before he was to perform at the Stardust awards, is better and recovering, hospital authorities said.

The 36-year-old actor had complained of chest pain and had been immediately rushed to Leelavati hospital in Mumbai where he was diagnosed with blockage in his heart.

However, doctors have now confirmed that he is out of danger but is still under supervision.

Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore accompanied by sister Soha Ali Khan also visited the actor at the hospital and confirmed that Saif is now completely out of danger.

“He is out of danger. There are no blood clots and doctors have said that there is nothing to worry about,” Sharmila said.

Soon after news spread that Saif had been hospitalised, many stars and eminent film personalities reached Leelavati to meet the actor.

Among those who visited the actor at the hospital included actors, Preity Zinta, Fardeen Khan with his wife Natasha, director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and filmmaker Bunty Walia.
