Sonepat residents protest as woman dies in accident

Sonepat: There were dramatic scenes of protests in Sonepat as residents went on a rampage burning tyres and vehicles, protesting against an accident that killed a woman.

The woman's family members claim that a truck hit her and was trying to flee when the violence broke out. Residents also claim that the police are yet to order an inquiry.

No further violence has been reported, but the area remained tense.
