New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi was hospitalised late on Monday night after she suffered an asthma attack.
The UPA chairman was rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the Capital after she complained of breathing trouble.
Early on Tuesday morning, B K Roy - Chairman of the hospital’s Board of Directors - told CNN-IBN she was diagnosed with chest infection.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke to 61-year-old Gandhi over phone and enquired about her health, reports PTI. The Prime Minister also wished her speedy recovery besides extending his New Year greetings.
However, her condition was reported to be stable.
