Lucknow: United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson and Rae Bareli MP Sonia Gandhi, who reached in Lucknow on Monday, will make surprise visits in villages in her constituency to check out development works there.
Gandhi landed in Lucknow around 0900 hrs IST and left for Rae Bareli, where she will spend three days.
"During her three-day visit, she will make surprise visits to the rural parts of Rae Bareli and will also hold meetings with the local party workers," spokesperson of the state Congress unit, Akhilesh Pratap Singh said.
On Tuesday, she will inaugurate the newly constructed building of the Firoz Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology and on Wednesday the customer care building of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in Rae Bareli.
"Soniaji will be visiting over a dozen villages everyday during her stay in Rae Bareli," Singh added.
