Mumbai: Filmmaker Onir is back with an unusual star cast and a genre that he has not attempted before. After serious dramas like My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal, filmmaker Onir is now switching to romantic comedy.
The film, Sorry Bhai’s opening scene was shot at a bungalow in Chembur.
The highlight of Sorry Bhai's cast is the return of Chitrangada Singh of Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi. Apart from Chitrangada, the film also features Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi, who play a couple with two son's Sanjay Suri and Sharman Joshi.
“I play the father of course,” says actor, Boman Irani.
Comedy is considered the toughest genre to crack in films, however, Onir seems quite confident about getting it right.
“I laugh very easily. So, I guess I should be able to make people laugh in my film,” says Onir.
After wrapping the opening sequence in Mumbai, the cast and crew will be heading to Mauritius for a start to finish schedule. Though Onir's directorial debut My Brother Nikhil was a critically acclaimed film, Bas Ek Pal didn’t quite hit the bulls eye. However, with Sorry Bhai, Onir hopes to deliver his best.
