Click to play videoMumbai: After dabbling in serious drama like My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal with his first two films, filmmaker Onir returns with a romantic-comedy titled Sorry Bhai. Though it's Onir's first attempt at comedy he doesn't seem even a tad bit skeptical about it.
The film promises to be a romantic comedy about a girl who falls in love with her to be brother-in-law. Though the story line may be taboo for the Indian audience, Onir is confident that filmgoers will be able to connect with the film.
"Honestly speaking like a relationship like what happens between a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law is something that is very common, all over the country, all over the world. It is something that people don't want to talk about, but it deals with how your approach to the film. I like to look at my characters with a lot of love and I think the audiences are going to do that as well," said Onir.
And for once here's a director who doesn't believe in giving his actors a pat on the back after every shot.
"Usually I've noticed people, when a shot takes place everyone goes wah wah (everyone praises the shot) and I feel that if I do that with every shot it will sound so fake. And anyway you have such good actors why do I need to keep telling them that this is brilliant and this is wonderful," added the filmmaker.
The director is also not at all nervous about the release of his film.
"I don't think people know me that much to have expectations from me, but I hope that once they see the entire cast and the entire thing there will be a lot of expectation," he said.
Sorry Bhai which stars Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi is also a comeback of sorts for lead actress Chitrangadha Singh. The film releases on the November 28.
