New Delhi: It is Andhra Pradesh's situation that seems to be the worst for the Congress Party. According to the 'State of the Nation' poll, the handling or mishandling of the Telangana issue and the rise of rebel Jagan Mohan Reddy has meant huge losses for the Congress party.

In Telangana compared to the 33 per cent votes it got in 2009 assembly polls it now estimated to have only 18 per cent a loss of 15 per cent votes, the principal opposition party in the state the TDP has lost 6 per cent votes in the region. The biggest gainer K Chadrashekar Rao's Telangana Radhtriya Samiti which has increased it's share from 10 per cent in 2009 to an estimated 36 per cent now.

Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR congress which is against the formation of Telangana, gets 7 per cent vote share. But the real impact of Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of the late YSR Reddy who split from the congress, is in the rest of Andhra Pradesh.

In Rayalseema and Coasta Andhra Jagan Reddy's YSR congress has emerged as the biggest force with a 36 per cent vote share. The Congress has lost 7 per cent and the TDP 9 per cent of its vote share compared to 2009.

The State of the Nation Poll also reveals that while 50 per cent of those in the Telangana region want a seperate state an overwhelming 90 per cent in the other regions of the state are against the formation of Telangana.

But the most embarrassing statistic is that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has been rated as the worst chief minister in the country , just 34 per cent people in Andhra Pradesh are satisfied with his performance, 58 per cent in the State are unhappy with him.
