New Delhi: For the 17 year-old alleged rape victim, the news that her tormentors are behind bars must have come as some relief.
A housemaid in the posh Chittaranjan Park area of South Delhi, this minor says she was sexually assaulted by her employer for almost one year before the incident came to light.
And her employer -- a senior General Manager in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Purushottam Sahdev -- was not the only one who was sexually abusing her.
She claims that the owner of Hindustan placement agency, Gaffur Mandal, who got her the job, was also in cahoots with her employer.
The sorry state of affairs became more messy when it came to light that Sahdev's neighbours knew what was going on. Nonetheless, the incident has shocked residents of the area.
