Chennai: South goes West as Tamil actress Sneha ups her chances for a break in mainstream Bollywood.
It may not have set the box-office on fire, but Sneha's call girl-act in Pudupettai has got her a lot of attention.
Having seen success in doing homely and girl-next-door kind of roles till date, playing a call girl was a risk Sneha was willing to take.
"When Selvaji told me that you will be playing a call girl, I was like—sir?" says Sneha.
"After Pudupettai, people are approaching me with roles which I don't want to repeat," she adds.
Meanwhile, the offers are pouring in from beyond the South as calls from the Mumbai film industry reportedly include one from director Rajkumar Santoshi.
"I'm very happy with the offers I'm getting from Bollywood and I'm sure within this year end or the beginning of next year, I will start with them. But I'm looking for good roles," Sneha says.
But this Southern hearthrob is surely not going to Bollywood with a 'if the script demands it' approach. "It is not like ‘Oh I've to go to Bollywood, it doesn't matter if I have to wear short skirts.’ Even if I enter Bollywood, I will choose the roles the way I want to," she says.
