Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Chandranath Singh was detained in a sexual harassment case after a woman travelling on the Padmavati Express complained that he harassed her on Sunday night. The SP leader complained of chest pain and has been admitted to hospital now.
A veteran trade union leader from Pratapgarh, Chandranath Singh, is a former MP from the Machhli Shahr Lok Sabha constituency. He has denied misbehaving with the woman.
"I don't know what her motives were. All I know is that I did not misbehave with her. I have been told that she now regrets her decision," Chandranath Singh said.
