Mumbai: In a yet another case of suspected drunk driving in Mumbai, a young actor was killed on Friday night. Eighteen-year-old television actress Neeral Bhardwaj died after a Honda city rammed into an auto rickshaw she was travelling. Neeral has acted in soaps like 'Mata ki Chowki' and 'Shani Dev ki Mahima'.

After the police arrested the driver of the car, Purvesh Patkar, his relatives staged a protest at the police station and even attacked media. Neeral's family and friends are alleging police apathy. "No FIR has been registered yet," said Neha Pawar, victim's roommate.

"There were two men in the car and they both were drunk. The auto driver is also missing," said Neeral's cousin Neeraj Bhatia.

The police tried to evade the question when they were asked about the missing auto driver.

Meanwhile, Purvesh's medical report is still awaited to determine if he was indeed drunk.
