Noida (Uttar Pradesh): A speeding car mowed down three labourers of a family in Noida. Three others have also been injured in the accident.

The driver of the car has been arrested and police claim he was drunk while driving.

The labourers, engaged for laying cables by Reliance, were sleeping on the pavement of Sector 39 near the district hospital at around 2300 hrs IST, police sources said.

The deceased were identified as Ram (30), Sumara (26) and Ashok (6).

The injured - Bobby Sharma, Rajesh and Bhure Sharma - were taken to the district hospital where their condition is reported to be stable.
