New Delhi: In yet another hit and run case, three men in a Toyota Corolla ran over a police constable in New Delhi last night.

The Corolla sped into the "no entry zone" at Rafi Marg, where a group of policemen were on duty. When the head constable on duty, Vinod, tried to stop the car, the driver accelerated and ran over him.

Vinod is presently in the intensive care unit at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Delhi police says that it has taken the three men into custody and will be questioning them. Police also claims to have recovered the Corolla.

But the constable's family, alleges they are not the real accused.

They allege the culprits were nabbed by police last night itself. But were let off after they paid a bribe.
