Click to play videoJaipur: The Sri Sathya Sai College founded by late Sai Baba has been caught in multiple financial and functional issues. After Baba's death the Trust looking after the college has illegally sacked 15 staffers including 11 lecturers overlooking the state government's orders.
The college says it's because of financial difficulties but teachers have a different story to tell.
"If it were a private institution we'd have understood but its 90 per cent aided, they have to give only 10 per cent. How can there be a financial crunch then? There is no financial crunch," Dr Savita Swami, Senior Lecturer, Sri Sathya Sai College in Jaipur said.
Since 2008, teachers have in fact been paid only 66 per cent of their salaries.
Further, teachers say that the college owe them Rs 2 lakh each; money the college took from them to bail it out from the crises. Only now, the school says the loans were donations. There's more evidence of mismanagement - the trust has allowed private colonies on its land.
