Sridhar reaches second round in men's singles badminton

Beijing: Anup Sridhar advanced to the second round in men's singles badminton after beating Marco Vasconcelos of Portugale 21-16, 21-14 at the Beijing Olympics on Sunday.

Anup took just 30 minutes to finish off the match.

Sridhar made full use of the chances available.

He scored as many as 11 points with service in the first game and as many as 12 points with service in the second game to seal an easy win.
