New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three terrorists belonging to the Hizbul Mujaheedin claiming that the trio was responsible for the March 19 blast in Srinagar.
One person was killed and 16 others injured in the blast that took place on a flyover.
Police also seized a mobile phone and a SIM card, which were used to detonate the Improvised Explosive Device.
"We have arrested three of the four militants who carried out the blast last week. Hizbul Mujaheedin had assigned its four north Kashmir activists to carry out the blast as it had failed to strike in capital city," Ahfadul Mujtaba, Srinagar police chief, said.
Mujtaba also said that the outfit carried out the blast, as it had not been able to carry out any act of subversion in Srinagar for long.
