Mumbai: A cup of coffee can be a catalyst not just for conversation, but also for nostalgia and that is exactly what will happen when the second season of Koffee with Karan premieres this weekend.
Three of the host, Karan Johar's best friends (Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji) will share priceless moments on the show.
So what should one expect form the show that is starting again?
"Koffee hamper is bigger, more expensive may be. This is more wittier. Karan will break a few bounds in this one,” says Kajol.
Shah Rukh adds, “Rapid fire is interesting. Today he (Karan) showed us some kids talking about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH). It was nice to see kids who still like the film.”
For Rani Mukherji the show revived old memories of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
"It'll was exciting to be under the same roof. Just 10 years ago, we were shooting for KKHH. It was nostalgic,” Rani says.
Meanwhile, the host and filmmaker Karan Johar seems happy with his first episode.
"We forgot there was a show with cameras, it was like a lounge chat. I hope people get that vibe," he says.
And here's someone with a ringside view of what transpired on the new-look set.
"I think it was wonderful to see the energy that the three of them had. They were very comfortable and it showed that they love each other very much and are closely related,” says actor of yesteryears and Kajol's mother Tanuja.
