Mumbai: Regular spitting, littering and urinating on Mumbai's roads has woken up the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) to smell the filth that is fast becoming a daily feature in Mumbai.
To save itself and get cracking on the cleaning spree the BMC has roped in actor Shah Rukh Khan.
The new public service advertisement campaign also features Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Mayor Datta Dalvi, and Municipal Commissioner Johny Joseph who urge citizens to keep the city clean.
The advertisement, which was made in partnership with travel company, Kuoni, will be screened at cinema halls and multiplexes in Mumbai.
With Shah Rukh Khan going where no star has gone before, it could well be the BMC's magic formula to grab public attention and galvanise the citizens of Mumbai to get cracking on the cleaning.
