Srinagar: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is shooting in Kashmir's Gulmarg Town, spent Monday night in the same room where legendary Raj Kapoor filmed the famous 'Hum tum ek kamre mein band hon' song for his 1973 superhit teenage romance 'Bobby'.
"I am staying in 305, the room where 'hum tum ek kamre mein band ho' was shot in 'Bobby'. Feels sweet... now just to try and lose the keys... ha ha", SRK posted on his widely followed microblogging site Twitter Tuesday morning.
The hut where the song was filmed is part of Hotel Highland Park in Gulmarg where SRK is staying. He is here to shoot for Yash Chopra's directorial venture.

He looks strapping in uniform and Shah Rukh Khan has donned many over the years in his career in television and films. After he started his TV stint with the hit serial 'Fauji', playing Abhimanyu Rai, Khan once again plays an Army officer Samar in Yash Raj's untitled film.

Fauji was a 1988 TV series on the training of an Indian Army commando regiment. It aired on DD National and marked Shah Rukh's debut in acting.

Men generally look great in uniform, but Shah Rukh Khan especially so. He started out as a cocky officer on Fauji, but went ahead to play a commando in Main Hoon Na.

In the 1996 film Army, Shah Rukh Khan played police officer Arjun. Danny Denzongpa and Sri Devi were among others in lead roles.

Remember Major Ram Prasad Sharma? Main Hoon Na, in which Khan played a undercover commando was a major hit.

Main Hoon Na was written and directed by Farah Khan. It was the first film of Shah Rukh Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment and Farah Khan's directorial debut film.

Veer-Zaara was a 2004 Indian romantic drama directed by Yash Chopra. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. Khan played Indian Air Force pilot, Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh.

Shah Rukh played the role of Aditya Sharma, an engineer on a cruise liner in 'Bhoothnath'.

Bhoothnath also starred Amitabh Bachchan as the friendly ghost Kailash Nath who befriends Khan's son Banku.

In this picture, Shah Rukh Khan is seen smartly dressed in army fatigue. He was shooting for Yash Chopra's next film in Ladakh. Khan apparently plays an army officer named Samar in the film.

Yash Chopra has cast Shah Rukh as an army officer Samar in the film, which also stars Anushka and Katrina Kaif.
The 46-year-old is returning to summer capital Srinagar Wednesday evening, according to Nazir Bakshi, owner of Shiraz Travels, which has organised the film's shooting in the valley. He is scheduled to hold a half-hour interaction with the press in Srinagar on Thursday.
