Mumbai: If a bathtub and rose petals were not enough to prove that he's the new metrosexual man, Shah Rukh Khan has gone a step ahead.

After endorsing almost every possible product, King Khan will soon be seen endorsing Emami's Fairness Cream Fair and Handsome.

But it wasn't easy to convince SRK to endorse the product as he thought that the endorsement might upset some of his fans.

“We met him about seven to eight times to convince him. So,it wasn’t really easy to get Shah Rukh. We selected him and he agreed. Then we sat together and discussed it. Now both of us are happy,” says Director, Emami Limited, Mohan Goenka.

SRK currently endorses more than a dozen big brands. From cold drinks to banking services and biscuits to computers, he sells everything possible on the list.

But so far no big male star has dared to endorse a fairness cream. It’s always been a female territory.

“He is very fair. Fair in terms of personality, fair in terms of likebaility. Not just “fair-fair”. He is liked by everyone that is very important. He cuts across everyone,” says Goenka.

The endorsement period is for next 24 months and the first commercial will be out in the next 15 days.

First bath products and now fairness cream - having bagged the King Khan tag, is Shah Rukh now gunning for the Queen Khan title?
