New Delhi: Bollywood starlet Nisha Kothari's car knocked down a pregnant woman near Santacruz Airport in Mumbai on Tuesday morning.
The 26-year-old victim Heena Jamtani, who was hit by Nisha’s car when she was crossing a road, has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. The accident took place around 1100 hours IST.
Jamtani suffered a fracture above her right ankle, however the unborn child is safe and has not suffered any injuries.
According to Jamtani’s family, she will be shifted to another hospital soon.
Meanwhile, the family has said that this is not a case of hit-and-run as Nisha’s driver attended to the victim and took her to the hospital. The driver also left Nisha’s number with the hospital authorities.
However, it is not clear as yet whether it was Nisha or her driver who was behind the wheel when the accident took place. No case has been registered against the actress as yet.
