Mumbai: From Filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj to actor John Abraham, Darsheel Safry, to Irfan Khan and even Slumdog Millionaire’s Rubina Ali and other stars in Bollywood showed up in their finest for the Filmfare Awards ceremony on Sunday night.
As for the big winners of the evening, it was a clean sweep for Jodha Akbar which bagged five Filmfare Awards including Best Film, Best Actor for Hrithik Roshan, Best Director for Ashutosh Gowarikar, Best Lyrics and Best Background Score for A R Rahman.
The only biggie that the team of Jodha Akbar missed out on was Best Actress trophy which went to Priyanka Chopra for Fashion. Kangana Ranaut was also awarded best supporting actress for the same film, much to the delight of director Madhur Bhandarkar.
Best Supporting Actor went to Arjun Rampal for Rock On which was another big winner of the night with five awards to its credit including the best debutant filmfare to Farhan Akhtar.
Asin who played Aamir Khan's leading lady in Ghajini was awarded best debutant award.
