Click to play videoNew Delhi: Two-time Oscar winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg is the subject of a documentary which tracks the meteoric rise of one of the most successful directors in the world.
The creator of blockbusters such as Jaws, ET and Jurassic Park features in Spielberg on Spielberg, a 90-minute documentary which apart from exclusive interviews includes rare footage and photographs from Spielberg's early days.
The film has Spielberg talking about his projects including the Oscar winning Saving Private Ryan, which was his tribute to his father.
"What motivated me to do Private Ryan was this was a tribute to my father. This was 100 per cent for my father. When I got the Oscar for Ryan, I said that, 'Dad this is for you. This is yours'. I mean I told my dad many, many years ago that I was going to make a World War II movie for him. The only thing that disappointed my dad was that it was about Europe not Asia. And my father said "But, Steve you didn't tell my story. What about the 490th bomb squad unit'. You know," says Spielberg.
The filmmaker is currently working on the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures series.
