The incident came to light in Kandivali locality of Mumbai.
Police suspect the deceased, Parag Tanna had huge investments in the stock exchange and his recent losses drove him to commit suicide.
"We have found a suicide note beside the body and he has written in that I am killing myself after murdering my wife, and that no one else should be held responsible. The reasons we are looking into include monetary problems and maybe he was heavily into debt due to his financial condition," said a Senior police Inspector from the Kandivali police station.
The two had been married for the last three years. Police said that the suicide note adds that Tanna was killing his wife and himself because he felt he wouldn't be able to take care of his baby and buy a flat.
