New Delhi: Two and a half lakh students across the country appeared for the Common Admission Test for entry to top business schools on Sunday.
With no change in the examination's pattern and only one section proving to be a challenge most students were relieved to finally get over with months of preparation.
One joyous student said, “I want go for a movie and dance and all because I don’ take any tensions at all”.
Another said, “I actually do not know how I have done my paper but my attempts were very low. But it is okay”.
CAT examination which is widely considered to be the most unpredictable test in the world didn’t really live up to its reputation this year. The pattern was the same as last year's and only Math proved difficult.
“It was difficult in the quantitative as compared to the previous years,” a CAT aspirant told CNN-IBN.
“English section and Data Interpretation were good,” remarked another.
The cut off scores to get a call from one of the IIMs is expected to range between 105 and110. But for many that worry is for another day. Right now most CAT aspirants are planning to relax a while
The results will be out in the first week of January. Of the 5000 students who will crack CAT only around 1600 will make it to one of the much sought after IIMs.
