Liverpool: Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez is feeling embarrassed by comparisons of him with Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
The 24-year-old hit four goals in Friday's CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier against Chile, leading his Uruguay side to a 4-0 success.
Suarez received high praise for his brilliance, with some even comparing him to the Argentine ace.
However, the Anfield favourite has been quick to play down any likeness with Messi.
"Comparisons with Messi embarrass me," Suarez told El Pais.
"It also makes me smile, but I feel the comparisons are just the reaction from the Uruguay fans as everything seems to be going well at the moment.
"I am happy, but we have to look at the work of the whole team as it is not just about one player."
Suarez could feature for his side when they meet Italy on Tuesday in an international friendly, despite coming off in the previous match with some pain to his back.
